Cruz recently filmed the fourth "Pirates of the Caribbean" film, "On Stranger Tides," which is set for release on May 20. She plays Anjelica, love interest of Depp's character, Captain Jack Sparrow. The two also starred together in the movie "Blow" in 2001.

"It is on the far side of an honor to occupy the same space with her as many times as I have," Depp said. "A long time ago, well relatively a long time ago, we did 'Blow' together. You know, the film. You know what I mean."

Cruz wore a mauve lace dress by L'Wren Scott to the ceremony and thanked her parents, her brother and sister, and her husband and their new baby son, who is their first child and who was born in January.

She and Bardem, 42, married in the Bahamas in early July 2010 after dating since at least 2007. The two met while filming the Spanish movie "Jamon, Jamon" in 1992.

Cruz won an Oscar for her performance in the 2008 movie "Vicky Cristina Barcelona" and was nominated for two Academy Awards for her roles in"Volver" and "Nine." She is also known for movies such as "Vanilla Sky" and "Sahara."

Cruz's star marks the 2,436th on the Walk of Fame. Celebrities who have received the same honor this year include singer Bryan Adams, Alec Baldwin and Adam Sandler.
